Where it all began
Arriving at Pinheira, carrying little more than courage and the will to build a new life facing the sea.
Since 1989
The story of the Santos family, in Praia da Pinheira — a century of hospitality woven by the sea.

Arriving at Pinheira, carrying little more than courage and the will to build a new life facing the sea.

An almost untouched nature and the collective effort of those who learned to live with what the land and the ocean offered. Every day, a shared achievement.

The founder, a man of rare honesty, made family and community the center of his life. His values remain the compass of the house.

The house that always welcomed friends and travelers naturally became an inn — and, in 1983, the family's hospitality opened its doors to the world.

Coffee shared in the morning, conversations at dusk, care for every guest. Small rituals that became the soul of the place.

Tradition, belonging and affective memory. Whoever arrives becomes part of the story — and whoever leaves takes a piece of ours with them.
The name
Derived from the Latin word sanctus, the Santos surname originated in Portugal as a symbol of faith, devotion, and honor, becoming a legacy passed down through generations. Throughout the Middle Ages, it spread across the Iberian Peninsula and eventually crossed the Atlantic to Brazil, establishing a family heritage rooted in tradition. More than just a surname, Santos represents a historical legacy of courage, identity, and family pride.
“Where there is welcome, there is always a place to return to”
